Policies

  • Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the cost of the first night if they cancel within 3 days of arrival. If the guest doesn't show up, they'll be charged the total price of the reservation.

The guest will be charged a prepayment of the cost of the first night within 3 days of arrival.

If a guest is not able to acquire a reservation to access Yosemite, standard cancellation policy still applies. No exceptions will be made.

There are still ways for you to visit the park as outlined in the FAQS section: Where can I get a park pass and reservation for Yosemite.

Did not understand you booked a Hostel not a hotel? Detailed information on what a hostel is was sent upon booking to confirm you understood what you booked. Standard cancellation policy still applies.

  • Pet Policy

    Pets are not allowed.

    Service animals are welcome.

We follow the ADA requirements for service animals. Under the ADA, the dog must already be trained to be considered a service animal and before it can be taken into public places. https://www.ada.gov/topics/service-animals/

Emotional support animals do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

We may legally ask you the following questions:
Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?
What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?

We reserve the right to remove any animal, service or otherwise if:

    The dog is not housebroken.
The dog is out of control, and the person cannot get the dog under control.

  • Parking Policy

All guest must park along the paved street above the hostel.

The driveway must be kept clear for safety reasons, staff access and to respect our neighbors who we share a very narrow driveway with.

No parking is permitted in the dirt area opposite side of the hostel near the light blue house. That is private property owned by our neighbors. They are SUPER nice. So help us by being nice to them and parking on the street.

  • Camp Fire Policy

Camp Fires are permitted only when risk of wildfire is low in the designated fire pit only.

The fire must be attended to at all times and not left alone. When you are finished, the fire must be doused with water.

Camp fires are NOT permitted when wildfire risk is high. The dates may vary. On average no fires are permitted from June-September. If you are not sure, please reach out to a host before making a fire.

  • I'm a MALE and I booked the FEMALE Dorm

The Female Dorm is reserved for females only.

If you are a male and mistakenly or intentionally booked the girls dorm because the coed dorm was fully booked, we can not guarantee you a space and your reservation may be cancelled upon your arrival and you may not receive a refund.

Priority will be given to reservations that were made correctly.

If you have made this error, please contact us ASAP. We will do our best to accommodate you.
