What is a HOSTEL?

A hostel is a great place to stay if you enjoy a social atmosphere. You'll have the opportunity to meet travelers from around the world.

Individual beds are booked in shared dorm style rooms. Though we do have one private room, all amenities are shared with all guests. This includes bathrooms, kitchen, living room as well as outdoor spaces.

There are no private bathrooms. Our two bathrooms are shared with all guests.

Quiet hours begin at 10pm. We ask our guests not to cook after 10pm and before 6am to respect our sleeping guests. Guests are usually very respectful of quiet hours, however you may still hear people walking to use the bathroom during the night and we can not guarantee no one will snore.

Guests who would like to stay up later are welcome to walk down to the Buckhorn Saloon Bar.

Jackass Hostel IS a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy meeting people

  • Don’t mind waiting to use the bathroom

  • Are happy to clean up after yourself

  • Are easy going

  • Like old mountain cabins (sometimes the breaker flips)

Jackass Hostel IS NOT a good fit if you:

  • Are looking for privacy and quiet time

  • Don’t know how to clean your own dishes

  • Don’t like sharing. (for example, the fridge)

  • Are a snowflake

  • Expect fancy accommodations

If you're looking for a fun social scene and are a considerate person Jackass Hostel is for you. We’d love to have ya!

If you would rather have more privacy we may not be the best fit.

We have a good time! And we want our guests to have a good time too.

That is why we share all this information, which is based on past comments from our guests. We want to make sure you know what you booked and that you are super excited to stay with us.

If you think “oh gosh this sounds terrible!”

That’s okay. Hostels are not for everyone.

If you read this and laughed. You’re a FIT!
